Background
My pieces can loosely be described as landscapes, but they may be made from many
glimpses of different parts of the place, as one would experience on a walk.
In the studio I use memory, sketches and photographs as a starting point and might make a few small studies on paper before starting a larger canvas.
I use lots of different media including: oils, acrylics, watercolour, inks, various drawing materials, collage and printmaking techniques.
Background
Educated in London. Studied at Hornsey & Byam Shaw Colleges Of Art. Post-graduate Studies at Goldsmiths College, London. Lectured part time in London and Sussex before traveling extensively in Europe and living in Australia for 12 years.
I returned to England in 1997 & am now working full-time in my studio at Phoenix Brighton on the south coast.
